Prevention is the key to keeping your pet healthy!

Pets that appear happy and healthy can have hidden medical problems. Annual wellness exams and early disease detection profiles are essential for identifying diseases at the earliest most treatable stage possible. The following list is not all inclusive, but explains the importance of our recommendations:

Examinations: Your pet is examined from nose to tail. This is a good start for reviewing your pet’s overall health. Listening to your pet’s heart and lungs and palpating their abdomen can help diagnose heart murmurs, tumors, and more.

Intestinal Parasite Screening: This simple lab test can uncover various parasites that invade your pet’s intestines well before they start showing symptoms.

Heartworm Testing and Canine Tick Panel: This testing can be done with just a few drops of blood. It can detect evidence of heartworms (worms transmitted by a mosquito that live in your pet’s heart) and tick-borne diseases, such as Lyme Disease.

Complete Blood Count (CBC), Blood Chemistry Profile, and Urinalysis: A CBC provides important information about the types and numbers of cells in your pet’s blood (i.e. white blood cells, red blood cells). Blood chemistries are important for evaluating organ function (i.e. liver, kidneys, blood sugar). Urinalysis is often combined with these tests to form a more complete picture of your pet’s overall health.

We offer three early disease detection profiles to fit your budget. Ask which of these is right for your pet based on their age and lifestyle!
